Review of Jim Butcher's Blood Rites

Blood Rites
The Dresden Files: Book 6
By Jim Butcher

Star Rating:

Genre: Adult Fantasy
Number of Pages: 372

Synopsis: (From Amazon)
Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, takes on a case as a favor to his friend Thomas- a vampire of dubious integrity- only to become the prime suspect in a series of ghastly murders.

Review:
Harry's life is about to change drastically when he accepts a case that will get him deeply involved in vampire politics.  Add in a stowaway dog, and learning deep kept secrets about his mother, Margaret Le Fay, and your head will be spinning around as much as Harry's as you try to piece together what is going on.

As always, Butcher doesn't disappoint.  This is book 6, so read on!

Favourite Quotation:
"Being a professional investigator, as well as a professional wizard, I'd seen slobbering beasties before.  Over the course of many encounters and many years, I have successfully developed a standard operating procedure for dealing with big, nasty monsters.

Run away.  Me and Monty Python."
-Chapter 1, Jim Butcher
